Vera Bradley, You Sneaky...

So Vera Bradley is all the rage right now and, apparently, this b*tch has put her name on EVERYTHING.  It doesn't stop at purses and accessories, ladies and gentlemen, oh no.  There are pencils and cases and notepads and... I don't even want to go into the exhaustive list.  And there are parents of children in my daughter's class who buy these overpriced pencils and etcetera for their children.  I'm convinced that they are secret agents of Vera Bradley, skillfully placed in schools across the country filling our children with greed for the floral print machine.

Grandma has a Vera Bradley purse.  Some kid in her class has a Vera Bradley backpack.  Some other kid has a Vera Bradley pen.  So, of course, Brooke DESERVES something Vera Bradley.  Gag me.  I keep telling her that grandma has the Vera Bradley purse full of money, so she can ask grandma for it (you're welcome, mom).

Last month I went to get my eyes checked and he said that my prescription hasn't changed.  Since the glasses I have are perfectly fine, but I have insurance that will pay for new frames and lenses, I decided to get sunglasses.  Which pair did I fall in love with?..  Anyone have a guess?..  Yeah, Vera Bradley.  Which I didn't even realize until I picked them up this week.  Brooke was with me and immediately gave me attitude about getting Vera Bradley sunglasses.

Brooke:  You haven't bought ME anything Vera Bradley and I've been begging you

Me:  My insurance paid for those sunglasses

Brooke:  Then have them buy me some glasses

Me:  You don't need glasses.  They won't buy you glasses just because you want something Vera Bradley

Brooke:  When we get home I'll find something online that's on sale

Me:  I'm not buying you something you don't need just because you want something Vera Bradley and it's on sale

Brooke:  But MOM

Me:  Call Grandma

So she got out the phone and called grandma.  Then when we got home she found a purse on sale that she liked and e-mailed it to Grandma, who immediately ordered it for her. You're welcome, Vera Bradley.  I have a feeling many a grandma are supporting you.

Happy Friday!!!
